Picnic en Blanc

At Castine’s signature Bastille Day event, the Picnic en Blanc, hundreds of white-clad festival goers will be seated at long white tables at 5:30pm, under the elms on Court Street. Bring your own French picnic, or pre-order a basket from the Pentagöet Inn, Safe Harbor, Dennett’s or Windmill Hill, while supplies last. Please note: This picnic is extremely popular, making seating very limited. You will find that people come to the area and reserve large groups of seats hours in advance. If you plan to come individually, as a couple, or in a small family group, please be prepared to arrive well before the start time to claim your seat(s) at a table.
Court Street from Main to Green will be closed for both traffic and parking from noon until 9pm on the 14th of July for Castine’s celebration of Bastille Day.
